What is the Nutrition Label Generator?

The Nutrition Label Generator is a free online tool that helps you create professional, FDA-compliant nutrition facts labels for your food products. Whether you're a food manufacturer, restaurant owner, or small business, our tool makes it easy to generate accurate nutrition labels in minutes.

How to Use the Tool

Step 1: Enter Product Information

Fill in your product details:

  • Product Name - The name of your food product that will appear at the top of the label
  • Serving Size - The standard serving size (e.g., "1 cup (240g)", "2 tbsp (30g)")
  • Servings Per Container - How many servings are in one package
  • Calories - Total calories per serving

Step 2: Enter Nutrition Data

Input the nutrition values for your product per serving:

  • Fats: Total Fat, Saturated Fat, Trans Fat (in grams)
  • Cholesterol (in milligrams)
  • Sodium (in milligrams)
  • Carbohydrates: Total Carbs, Dietary Fiber, Total Sugars, Added Sugars (in grams)
  • Protein (in grams)
  • Vitamins & Minerals: Vitamin D, Calcium, Iron, Potassium (as % Daily Value)

Step 3: Generate Your Label

Click "Generate Nutrition Label" to create your nutrition facts panel. The preview will update instantly on the right side.

Step 4: Download

Click the "Download" button to save your label as a high-resolution PNG image, ready for printing on your product packaging.

Nutrition Facts Format

Our labels follow the standard FDA nutrition facts panel format, including:

  • Product name and serving information
  • Calorie count in bold, large type
  • All required nutrients with amounts and % Daily Value
  • Proper formatting with bold dividers and indentation for sub-nutrients
  • Standard footnote about daily values

Daily Value Percentages

The % Daily Value (%DV) is automatically calculated based on a 2,000 calorie daily diet. The reference values used are:

Tips for Accurate Labels

  1. Use lab-tested data when possible for the most accurate nutrition information
  2. Verify serving sizes match your actual product portions
  3. Include all 15 required nutrients - our form includes them all
  4. Double-check units - fats and carbs are in grams, cholesterol and sodium are in milligrams
  5. % Daily Value for vitamins and minerals should be based on actual product testing or USDA database values
